Churchill Park Advisory Committee 2018 Officer Elections

Churchill Park Advisory Council is Holding Its Annual Elections on March 6th at 7PM at Goddess and the Grocer at 1649 N Damen Avenue in Bucktown

We are seeking new officers for CPAC and additional Committee Chairperson and of course volunteers. Nominations and nominees can contact us at for more information and to be on the official ballot. One week prior to the election the nominees will be posted at the park and on Facebook at the Churchill Dog Park, Chicago page and on our website at

Our current officers are: Jana Dynkiewicz, President | Alisa Bergman, Vice President | Natalie Gubman, Secretary | Charles Gubman, Treasurer

We are required to have at least 3 officers, President, Vice President and a Secretary or a Treasurer- or both. The basic descriptions are below.

The President: a voting member who shall prepare and agenda and president over all PAC meetings, and shall perform such other duties as the PAC shall direct. The President can assign duties to other officers from time to time.

The Vice President: a voting member who shall preside at the meetings in the absence of the President, and shall perform such other duties as the PAC shall direct; if the President cannot complete their term for whatever reason, the Vice President is the successor to the President for the remainder of the past President’s term. 

And either,

The Secretary: a voting member who shall record minutes of all PAC meeting, shall keep a permanent file of all PAC records, shall keep an up to date roll of members; shall maintain a record of member attendance to PAC meeting; shall issues notices of all PAC meetings; and shall perform such other duties as the PAC shall direct. Copies of all are to be kept in the PAC binder kept with the Secretary and posted on the ChurchillPark Advisory Council’s Facebook group page.

Or, The Treasurer: a voting member shall have charge and custody of and be responsible for all funds of the PAC; receive receipts and give monies due and payable to the PAC from any source whatsoever, and deposit all such funds in the name of the PAC in such bank or other depository with the assistance of a fiscal agent. The Treasurer shall file all tax forms and any other documents as needed.

The purpose of the Churchill Park Advisory Council is to advise the Chicago Park District of the needs and desires of the community as pertaining to Churchill Park. To assist the Chicago Park District in the implementation of the needs of the community. To increase community cooperation, awareness and involvement in Churchill Park.

The Officers shall be elected annually. Any member, 18 years or older, shall be entitled to (1) one vote. There will be no proxy voting. Agendas for the elections will be formulated by the Council members and will be given to the Chicago Park District representative at least one (1) week in advance of the election.

Council Membership is open to any adult residing in the city of Chicago. The Council will not discriminate because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, physical or mental handicap or sexual orientation.
